January 30 2023 | Radio Biafra Counsel to the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, Monday, said that the detained leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu’s health condition has continued to deteriorate in the detention facility of the Directorate of State Services, DSS and "needs urgent advanced medical treatment." Ejiofor stated this after they visited Kanu at the DSS detention centre, in Abuja with the IPOB Lead Counsel - Professor Mike Ozekhome, SAN, CON, OFR. The statement read below: UPDATE ON TODAY'S VISIT TO OUR INDEFATIGABLE CLIENT – ONYENDU MAZI NNAMDI KANU- AT THE HEADQUARTERS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE SERVICES (DSS), ABUJA, WHERE HE IS STILL BEING ILLEGALLY AND UNCONSTITUTIONALLY DETAINED IN SOLITARY CONFINEMENT: Today’s visit to our indefatigable Client – Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu- at the DSS detention facility, Abuja, where he is still being unconstitutionally held, was led by our erudite Lead Counsel - Professor Mike Ozekhome, SAN, CON, OFR. Our indefatigable Lead Counsel seized the opportunity offered by the visit to discuss the present health condition of Onyendu. Onyendu carefully narrated to him the non-provision of proper medical care to the barrage of life-threatening illnesses he is faced with. Of very particular concern is the fact that the DSS have no adequate medical facilities to treat Onyendu's deteriorating health condition. Onyendu seriously lamented about severe pains particularly on his left ear. He also recounted that a previous scan at the instance of the SSS revealed that he must undergo an advanced surgical procedure to repair his left ear drum that has become greatly impaired by the severe torture and beating he received from agents of the Federal Government when he was forcibly kidnapped in Kenya and savagely renditioned back to Nigeria in June, 2021. Generally, Onyendu needs urgent advanced medical treatment and surgical operation to address his deteriorating health condition, especially on his left"

On January 28, 2013, an Abuja High Court exposed the hypocrisy of the Nigerian justice system when it sentenced one John Yakubu Yusufu, standing trial on charges of stealing N32.8 billion in the Police Pension scam to two years imprisonment on each of three charges, and then offered him an option of N250,000 fine on each count. The former Assistant Director in the Police Pension Office simply paid the N750,000 fine and walked away. But the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) went on appeal. December 26 2022 | Radio Biafra Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has sued the Department of State Services (DSS) to court, over violation of his human rights and the disobedience to court ruling of the Federal High Court Abuja, which ordered the agency (DSS) to allow Nnamdi Kanu access a quality medical attention, regarding his grave health risk. Recall that on June 29th 2021, the DSS who claimed to have arrested Kanu from Kenya, brought him to the Nigeria; blindfolded and handcuffed like a common criminal. But further independent investigations revealed that Kanu was never legally extradited, rather the DSS in collaboration with Kenyan Local forces covertly kidnapped Nnamdi Kanu who was a temporary resident to Kenya, as a British citizen with the British passport, detained and tortured him for eight days before extraordinarily renditioning him to Nigeria and arraigning him before the court. The aroused health troubles of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu could be linked to the unimaginable torture he was subjected to in Kenya for days. Kanu is reported to be diagnosed of mineral deficiency and dire heart complications that requires emergency good medical attention. Recall that, from the academics' year 2009–2010, the federal government of Nigeria, out of their selfish intentions, withdrew history from the country's schools' Curriculum. And, one major problem that came with this singular action, is the case of Identity Crisis present in several parts of Nigeria currently, especially among the people of the country's South-South Region, where the youths and children have all forgotten who they are and what Ethnic group they belong to. Most Igbo people in the Anioma part of Delta State, today identifies as “Niger Deltans” – Words they do not even know its meaning. The lack of History among most youths today has led them into believing Late Gen. Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu started a war in 1967 against Nigeria, when, in fact, Ojukwu was only doing what was mandated for the safety of his people and generations to come.
